New Benefit Enhancements

We’re excited to share that this year’s open enrollment brings new enhancements to our already industry-leading benefits package! Starting January 1, 2026, team members and their families will have access to an even more robust set of benefits at no additional cost. A summary of these updates is provided below:

  • No increase in medical premiums for Craft Team Members
  • Progyny fertility support program now available
  • Increased Parental Leave for bonding following birth, adoption, or foster placement
  • Spring Health enhancements, including new tobacco cessation support with access to a 12-week supply of effective nicotine replacement therapies
  • 401(k) eligible earnings expanded to include overtime, double-time, and premium wages for contributions and company match
  • Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) replacing New York Life as the leave and disability vendor
  • Craft Dependent Scholarship Program – same great benefit, with a shorter 6-month waiting period and grandchildren of Team Members are now eligible for the benefit

What is staying the same in 2026

Core Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision – Comprehensive coverage through UHC, Delta Dental, and VSP. Preventive care and virtual visits covered at 100%.
  • Life Insurance – Company-paid coverage equal to 2x base pay (3x for service over 10 years), starting day one. Optional life insurance available for team members, spouses, and children.
  • AD&D and Business Travel Accident Insurance – Provided at no cost, matching life insurance coverage.
  • Short-Term Disability & Maternity Leave – No cost coverage after 6 months of service. Disability pays up to 70% of weekly earnings, maternity leave pays 100% for eligible weeks.
  • Parental, Bereavement, Military & Jury Duty Leave – Paid time off for family, civic duty, and military service.
  • Tuition Reimbursement & Scholarship Program – Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually after 6 months of service. Craft Dependent Scholarship extended to grandchildren.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Automatic enrollment after 60 days. Contributions up to 75% of pay with dollar-for-dollar company match on the first 4%. Contributions and match now apply to overtime, double time, and premium wages.
  • Paid Time Off & Holidays – PTO accrues from day one and increases with service. Nine paid holidays annually.
  • Furlough Program – Allows continuation of medical, dental, and life benefits between projects without rehire.

Mental Health & Wellness

  • Spring Health – 8 free therapy sessions and 8 coaching sessions per year for each team member, spouse, or dependent (age 6+). Includes personalized care, medication management, diverse providers, work-life services, and quick access to care.
  • Kaia Health – Digital app for back, neck, and joint pain. Provides tailored workouts, pain education, and 1:1 coaching.
  • Calm Health – Tools for stress, sleep, and resilience. Includes meditations, soundscapes, self-care courses, and content for life stages (e.g., women’s health, parenting). Connects to additional coaching and therapy if needed.

Additional Programs

  • 2nd.MD – Virtual second opinion service with nationally recognized specialists for new diagnoses, surgery, or treatment decisions.
  • Smoking Cessation (Spring Health) – Vendor change for 2026. Now includes a 12-week supply of nicotine replacement therapies and digital coaching support.
  • CareConnect Team – Dedicated line for Mortenson team members and families to get help navigating health needs. Call 1-833-209-6462.
  • Kaia – No additional cost digital physical therapy (PT) program that provides personalized, at-home PT for muscle and joint pain using guided exercises, education, and real-time feedback—no appointments or equipment needed.

Login to your Team Member Workbench to update your 2026 benefits. Follow the step-by-step instructions below, or once logged in, select > View/Update Non-Union Benefits & Beneficiaries > Make Changes and begin the enrollment process.

NOTE: 2025 benefits will roll over to 2026 if no action is taken. All enrollments (medical plan, dental plan, life insurance beneficiaries) will continue from 2025 to 2026 even if you don’t log in to Team Member Workbench to make your elections.

Don’t wait until the last minute to enroll! Enroll in your 2026 benefits any time between October 20 and November 7. All changes you make to your benefits will be effective 1/1/2026.
